Essentially, these are do-it-yourself approaches. You purchase the software, develop the education or training programs, and then market them yourself on the Internet. The products differ from e-books by (generally) having facilities to register attendees, administer questionnaires/homework, and allow interaction between tutor and student and between student and student.

3. site. Creates e-learning materials from text files. Several modules $25-45.

4. site. Various packages and services. TrainerSoft 8 Desktop Author costs $2,899.

5. site. Message-board and integrated chat for server. $995-4995, but provided as part of the package by some hosting companies.

Distance Learning Services

You still have to develop the course content, but these service companies host the course, provide page-generation modules, and software to manage student registrations. Prices depend on requirements, and are on application unless otherwise stated.

11. Site Services for corporations and large educational establishments.

12. Site Specialize in virtual classrooms for science and technology tuition.

13. Site Integrated solutions hosted on a secure server.

14. Site Handle training and education for universities and larger corporations.

15. Site No fee for hosting but service takes 40% of your registration fees. You can also earn 1 cent for every 10 pages of your course visited.
