Meet the Editor
Ecommerce
Digest's editor is no stranger to technical research. A former
Fellow of the Geological Society of London, and of the Institution
of Mining and Geology, Colin Holcombe worked for the mining giant
RTZ plc until 1988. He conceived and built the first computer-based
mine evaluation systems that are now standard in the industry,
and was responsible for research and all technical aspects of
corporate acquisition.
Thereafter, Colin was involved in many publishing and IT ventures,
latterly Internet-based. He helped program the world's largest
online gambling site, and has built sites providing literary,
travel and financial services. His work has won awards, and his
portal site features in the Prentice Hall publication "Designing
Usable Web Interfaces".
In 2001, Colin joined LitLangs Publishing to set up ecommerce-digest.com,
a business intelligence unit focusing on the ecommerce market.
As a contract programmer and webmaster, Colin brings extensive
experience of web design, database programming and ecommerce implementation.
He can be contacted on ecd_editor@litlangs.com.
